China offered a preferential loan of US$500 million to Pakistan for bilateral trade and economic cooperation, according to the Ministry of Commerce.
The offer was made by President Hu Jintao during talks with visiting Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf.
President Musharraf said that Pakistan was very interested in increasing trade ties with China and his government was not concerned over warming relations between China and India.
