China plans rural network of 250,000 superstores to spur consumption

In yet another effort to narrow the income gap between its rural and urban residents, China plans to create a nationwide chain of 250,000 superstores over the next three years to stimulate greater consumption and impose commerce infrastructure in the rural areas, state media reported.
