China Southern Exec arrested

A top executive at China Southern Airlines, China's largest carrier by fleet size, has been arrested for economic crimes in connection to the airline's parent company's US$133m investment in Hantang Securities, lost when the brokerage failed, Reuters reported. Peng Anfa "was involved in that failed investment, and charges placed against him were of an economic nature,'' said a spokeswoman for China Southern Air Holding Co.
