The World Tourism Organization predicted that China would overtake France
to become the world's leading tourist destination and the fourth largest source of tourists
by 2020.
The forecast was made at the general assembly of the World
Tourism Organization currently being held in Beijing.
In August the
number of Chinese outbound travelers reached 2.1 million, increasing by 34.5 percent
compared with the same period last year.
