Chinese journalist charged with fraud

With the Ministry of State Security due to turn over the case to prosecutors, New York Times Chinese journalist Zhao Yan, originally charged with revealing state secrets and held for seven months since, now faces additional charges of financial fraud, the Times reported, citing Chinese authorities. In a New York Times article, he correctly predicted the resignation of China's former President Jiang Zemin, which, like all leadership discussions, is considered state secret in China.
