CSRC expands supervision office

China Securities Regulatory Commission announced on Friday it has combined its two separate enforcement bureaus into a single entity and expanded the office in order to enhance the supervision of the country's securities market, Economic Observer reported (in Chinese). The new bureau will be headed by Chen Shun, who was previously the chief officer of Enforcement Bureau I. Chen's office will consist of the General Enforcement Group, which will be responsible for investigating market manipulation and insider trading, and the Administrative Penalty Commission, which will hear cases.
