Oil giant BP yesterday formed a 30-year, US$14.5m joint venture in Hubei province with Chinese automaker Dongfeng Motor Corp to produce auto lubricants to supply the first-fill and service fills for Dongfeng's automobiles. The 50-50 JV, the Dongfeng Castrol Lubricant Co Ltd, will have an annual production capacity of 30,000 tons of lubricants and 20,000 tons of antifreeze products.
