Economist predicts more oil subsidies

Guangdong Academy of Social Sciences economist Cheng Jianshan said the government will continue to liberalize the energy market, but it will minimize price fluctuations though subsidies to avoid an economic downtown, reported the South China Morning Post. Cheng said that while price controls would cushion the economy from the impact of rising energy costs, the government had to realize that cheap energy was no more and early action to even out price fluctuations was needed.
