Caijing ex-editiorIn November Hu Shuli left Caijing, the financial news magazine she helped found 11 years ago. Now she has another place to work.

Under her guidance, Caijing pushed boundaries with the censors, and pursued stories that embarrassed the central government.

Hu Shuli has taken the helm at another publication, her company said yesterday, nearly two months after she walked away from her last magazine over editorial differences with the publisher.

A statement from Hu’s company, Caixin Media, said she has taken over as executive editor of New Century News, a general news magazine owned by the China Institute for Reform and Development, a think-tank.

The Standard reports that Hu has also been appointed a senior researcher at the institute.
