Italy's Fata Group plans to set up new businesses in China and expand existing ones in engineering, materials and logistics.
The group announced it aims to reach a turnover of 70 million euros (US$84 million) in China in 2003 and increase it by 20 to 25 percent in 2004.
The group, which already supplies coil coating lines to major steel producers such as Baosteel, will set up a wholly owned company to design aluminum, steel and stainless steel processing lines.
In addition Fata will increase investments in an aluminum JV with Nanjing Yuejin Tooling and invest in traffic control and management systems in big Chinese cities such as Beijing.
