The US gets more information technology from China than its next eight biggest suppliers combined, but the latest data suggests that that will not be the case for much longer as the US-China trade war drags on, reported Caixin.
Chinese IT sales to the US fell by $12.4 billion in the first four months of 2019, to an eight-year low of $35.3 billion – though that is still three times higher than the US’s second-biggest supplier, Mexico.
Malaysia and Japan also saw a slip in their exports of advanced equipment to the US, while the biggest increases came from Vietnam, Taiwan and Korea.
