General Motors announced Thursday that its auto sales in China are up 8% so far this year compared with the same period last year, Dow Jones reported. GM sold one million cars in China in 2007, and has already past that mark this year. The news comes as the carmaker engages in talks with the US government to seek a bailout to avoid bankrupcy. GM CEO Rick Wagoner has already promised to accept a $1 annual salary in exchange for government support.
