Haier Group, China’s biggest home appliance manufacturer, is setting up an alliance with Taiwan’s Sampo Corp to sell each other’s products, reported Bloomberg. This followed an announcement in January by Sanyo of Japan that it was teaming up with Haier to sell its products through Haier’s 9,000 outlets and 12,000 service centres. Sanyo and Haier will also form a venture to sell Haier appliances in Japan.
