China Hi-Tech Fair 2010 opened Wednesday at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center. The theme is "Science and Technology for Transformation and Innovation for Development" and focuses on China’s economic restructuring and transformation.
The Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, National Development and Reform Commission and the Chinese Academy of Sciences are all exhibiting in their designated areas. The Ministry of Agriculture and the State Intellectual Property Office are sharing a pavilion. The pavilions all highlight energy conservation and emissions reduction, low carbon economy and strategic new industries.
PR Newswire reports that over 30 municipalities and provinces as well as Hong Kong and Macau will attend this year’s fair, where their achievements and projects in terms of economic structure adjustment and transformation of development approach will be presented.
