Hundreds still on strike at Uniqlo supplier's factory in Shenzhen

A strike by hundreds of workers at a Shenzhen clothing factory run by a supplier to Japanese fashion retailer Uniqlo has run on for over a week on fears that the company planned to shutter operations there, The Financial Times reported, citing labor rights organization Students & Scholars Against Corporate Misbehaviour. “The workers invited the management to negotiate with them about fair compensation but the factory managers showed no interest in talking to them,” said Alexandra Chan, a campaigner for the group.
