Lenovo challenges iPhone

Lenovo in China is, apart from computers, a best selling cellphone manufacturer. It has now released the Lenovo LePhone in the United States. The LePhone is an unlocked GSM smartphone with a 1GHz processor and an AMOLED display which is in feel, if not totally in appearance, practically a clone of Apple’s iPhone.
It runs with an Android operating system and has, by all reports, an astoundingly sharp screen. Memory can be expanded to 32GB and it has Bluetooth, WiFi and everything else. Reviews state the LePhone is "a solid phone with a quality feel." But they were critical of the quality of the built-in camera.
The Gadgeteer reviewer wrote: "If you can get past the fact that this phone is meant for the Chinese market, doesn’t come with an English manual, has a weak camera and most importantly, can’t easily be upgraded with newer versions of Android, the Lenovo LePhone is a gorgeous phone."
