On the heels of China confirming a big A380 order, Airbus Industrie said it would set up a new Beijing engineering center for design work on its long-haul A350 passenger aircraft. Airbus official Jean-Hugues Depigny said the center, which would have a complement of 200 engineers, would be the second largest such center outside Europe.
