Perot Systems to acquire BearingPoint China

US-based Perot Systems announced today it will acquire BearingPoint China Consulting, a technology and management consulting company with offices in Shanghai and Beijing, Reuters reported. BearingPoint China’s US parent filed for bankruptcy protection in the US in February 2009. The announcement follows an announcement in September that Perot Sytems will be acquired by Dell. The acquisitions are intended to combine the respective companies’ expertise in IT, applications, business processes and consulting services, and increase China exposure. BearingPoint recently won contracts in China’s health care and manufacturing sectors. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, and the transaction is subject to approval from the US Bankruptcy Court and the Chinese government.
