Quality assurance for outbound shopping

The China Outbound Tourism Quality Service Certification Program (QSC Program) has come up with a list of quality shopping stores in many countries which covers many famous international brands.
As Chinese outbound tourism has grown, service quality, including problems in outbound shopping, has become a serious issue. Compulsory purchasing and price gouging exists in many extremely low-fare tour groups (known in China as "Zero-fee" or "Minus-fee" tours).
The China National Tourism Administration has issued and implemented the Program for Quality Upgrading of Tourism Service 2009-2015, while the China Association of Travel Services has launched the QSC Program to evaluate outbound tourism suppliers in terms of service quality, security, business integrity and other aspects.
Those listed in the QSC program will have to follow strict rules and procedures.
CRIEnglish.com reports that the first basic requirement for shopping stores to acquire a QSC Label is to operate honestly.
