Fast food operator KFC said it is pulling two items from its menu in China after Sudan I, a carcinogenic food coloring, was detected in a sauce, causing contamination fears. An unnamed Hongfang employee told the daily that farmers tend to add Sudan I to their chili peppers to make them appear more attractive.
