AMD unifies China operations

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) announced it established a holding company in Beijing to consolidate greater China operations. The new company, AMD (China) Co, will oversee AMD facilities in Hong Kong and on the mainland including a planned flash memory factory in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. Company officials said that AMD also plans to open two new offices in Shanghai and Shenzhen to manage regional operations.
