In the comments on Tuesday’s post on US-China relations in the Bush era, Dominic Meagher linked to an analysis he wrote in November on the Bush administration’s initial approach to China. The analysis is especially valuable since Dominic actually took the time to go through newspaper archives to unearth Bush’s pre-9/11 China policy. It was much less conciliatory than his later approach would have us remember.
