Yellow to enter China

Yellow Roadway wants to be the first American trucking firm to operate in China and is looking to complete an acquisition or joint venture agreement with Chinese truck operators this year, Yellow CEO Bill Zollars told the Financial Times. Zollars said his company would target its services at US companies, such as retailers Wal-Mart and Home Depot, which have an increasing presence in China, but have "no reliable transportation partner," Zollars said. He noted that China's truck market is highly fragmented, with no company owning more than 200 trucks.
